Start with the vessel. Think across the fleet.
Every vessel has its own equipment, operating conditions and data coverage. A fleet-wide approach starts by making those differences visible and giving the right people access to the relevant boat.
Stimulate supports connected vessel workspaces for owners, crews and operators. Teams can review the data available for a vessel, inspect trends and use its profile and twin as context. The public fleet animation illustrates this connected perspective; it is not an operational AIS or navigation radar.
Make signals useful to people.
Depending on the connected equipment, a vessel can provide channels such as battery voltage, engine speed or temperature. The important question is what a particular reading means for that boat and whether the source is current.
Agree a consistent naming and unit convention across a pilot. Record which channels exist on each vessel and who will investigate an alert. A missing connection should lead to a data review, not an assumption that the equipment is operating normally.
The right boat. The right team.
A fleet may involve owners, operational crews and marine partners. Organisation and vessel permissions define access in Stimulate, while administrators manage invitations and vessel connection codes.
For onboarding, establish who owns the vessel record, who manages its connections and who needs to see its data. Each user joins by invitation and connects to a boat using the code supplied by the administrator. Account verification remains separate from the vessel connection process.
Build a practical fleet pilot.
- Choose representative vessels. Include the equipment and connection types you want to evaluate.
- Map available sources. Document gateways, sensor channels, units and expected update intervals.
- Define responsibilities. Agree access, alert review and the route for questions from crew to shore.
- Review real use. Evaluate data quality and usefulness before extending the scope.
Tell Sailub how many boats and people are involved, what equipment is installed and which operational questions matter most. We will define compatibility and pilot scope together.
